Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Yum Yum Club. These Terms & Conditions outline the rules for using our website, theyumyumclub.com. By browsing, reading, or interacting with any part of this site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with any of it, we’d suggest you stop here and find a different recipe source. It’s that simple.

Acceptance of Terms

Just by clicking around the site, reading a post, using a calculator, or leaving a comment, you’re entering into this agreement with us. We keep things pretty relaxed around here, but these terms are the backbone of how we operate. We may update them, and we’ll note that below. Your continued use of the site after any changes means you’re on board with the new version.

Intellectual Property

Everything you see on The Yum Yum Club is our work. That includes the recipes, the written guides, the photography, the layout, and the calculators. Steve and the small team behind this blog put real hours into testing, shooting, and writing. That content is protected by copyright law, and it belongs to us.

Sharing our recipes with friends, pinning a photo to Pinterest, or linking back to a post you found useful is always welcome. That’s how the food blogging world works, and we love it. Copying an entire post, republishing our photos without permission, or scraping our content for your own site or social feed is not allowed. If you want to feature something we’ve made, ask us first. We usually say yes.

Affiliate Links and Advertising

We run ads through Google AdSense, and we also participate in the Amazon Associates program. Some of the links we include in our reviews and recipe posts are affiliate links. This is especially true for the ones pointing to kitchen gear. If you click through and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That commission helps us keep the blog running and the recipes coming.

We only recommend equipment we actually use or genuinely believe in. These are affiliate relationships, and they don’t change our opinion of the product. We’re not paid to write positive reviews, and we never will be.

No Guarantees on Cooking Results

We test our recipes multiple times before publishing them. We measure, we adjust, we write down every detail. But we cook in our own kitchens, with our own ovens, our own pans, and our own ingredients. Your kitchen is different. Your oven runs hot or cold. Your flour has a different protein content. Your altitude changes how things bake.

So while we do our best to give you clear, reliable instructions, we can’t guarantee that every dish will turn out perfectly in your kitchen. And more importantly, if you have food allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary needs, you are responsible for checking every ingredient we list against your own requirements. We’re not doctors or nutritionists. We’re home cooks who love good food. Always read labels, verify ingredients, and make substitutions when you need to.

User Content and Comments

We love hearing from you. Comments on our posts, recipe submissions through our forms, and messages on social media make this a two-way conversation. When you submit content to us, whether it’s a comment, a recipe idea, or a photo, you’re giving us permission to use it on the site. We might feature your comment in a roundup or share your recipe tip in a future post. We’ll credit you where we can, but by submitting, you agree that we can use that content in connection with The Yum Yum Club.

Keep it respectful in the comments. We’re here to talk food, not to argue about politics or tear each other down. We reserve the right to remove any comments that are spammy, offensive, or off-topic.

Limitation of Liability and Governing Law

We put a lot of care into what we publish, but the site is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent the law permits, The Yum Yum Club and its contributors are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site, reliance on our content, or outcomes from following our recipes. That includes burned dinners, disappointing cakes, or any kitchen mishaps. Cook at your own risk, and have fun with it.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to our business operations. If any part of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.

Changes to These Terms

We might tweak these terms as the site grows, as laws change, or as we learn better ways to do things. When we do, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top. We won’t send out a newsletter just for legal updates. Checking back here occasionally is on you. If you keep using the site after changes go live, that counts as acceptance of the updated terms.

Contact Us

Questions about these terms, our content, or anything else? Head over to our contact page and drop us a line. We read everything, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
