So, the clues in the name! Popeye. Did you get it?… Yep, a healthy smoothie with spinach. However, spinach can be a little bitter when raw so to naturally sweeten it up I’ve added pineapple, grapes, banana and low-fat Greek yoghurt. That’s right, just 5 ingredients and, guess what, 252 calories.
So let’s make it…
1. Get the ingredients together
As I said, only 5 ingredients but note that all these smoothie recipes are for one person so just multiply them if you’re making for the family.
2. Put them in the blender and blitz
The food processor that I use has a separate smoothie cup so you can blend and drink from the same item. If you don’t have this then just use your standard liquidizer. I recommend you put the ice in first and then the softer ingredients. If it doesn’t all blend first time just shake it up and blend again.
That’s it. Just pour into a glass or use the blending cup. A wonderful, tasty and healthy smoothie fit for any sailor!! ????

A healthy smoothie to start the day. What more do you want? Just 5 ingredients. Spinach, grapes, banana, pineapple and yoghurt. Yum!!
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup seedless white grapes
- 100 grams zero fat Greek yogurt
Gather all of the ingredients together.
Place everything into a blender.
Blitz, our and enjoy. Simple and yummy!
